Content Workflow Solution Connects Knowledge Workers to the Content and Rights Information They Need

Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organization, has launched its DirectPath™ content workflow solution, which connects knowledge workers instantly to the content and rights information they need. DirectPath also provides companies with real-time analytics on content usage and spending to prioritize future purchases.

DirectPath helps companies accelerate research, simplify copyright compliance, and manage content more efficiently. It saves time and money by giving users one-click access to full-text articles from company subscriptions, Open Access material, and internal documents. Employees can search for content within DirectPath or in their preferred discovery platforms, such as PubMed. Document delivery options within the workflow allow users to instantly access articles to which they don’t have access via a subscription.

DirectPath integrates seamlessly with CCC’s Annual Copyright License, making collaboration and copyright compliance easy via simple icons, giving users the freedom to share content from the world’s most sought-after information sources across their organization while respecting the rights of copyright holders. CCC’s rights management technology is the only source for direct, accurate data about its Annual Copyright License rights.

“CCC developed DirectPath in response to customer demand for a solution to streamline information search and retrieval while simplifying copyright compliance,” said Bill Neuman, CCC Vice President, Products.

CCC has partnered with the British Library (BL) to serve as the document supplier for DirectPath. BL is one of the world’s largest research libraries. Its collection, which has been developed over 250 years, exceeds 150 million separate items representing every age of written civilization and includes books, journals, manuscripts, and newspaper archives.
