CCC Wins Stevie® Award for Best New Employee Onboarding

October 1, 2020 – Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a leader in advancing copyright, accelerating knowledge, and powering innovation, announced that it has been named a Stevie® Award winner in the category of Best New Employee Onboarding, in the annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers.

Over the past several years, CCC has enhanced its employee onboarding experience, creating a scalable, replicable and engaging experience from talent acquisition throughout an employee’s tenure. As a result, the company continues to see a low turnover rate and high satisfaction scoring from employees after onboarding.

“Our team spends a considerable amount of time attracting the very best talent,” said Michele Nivens, Vice President, Human Resources, CCC. “Once a new hire joins, this effort continues. As the team’s dedication and commitment to an effective and engaging onboarding experience not only helps our new colleagues onboard faster, but it improves the work experience for all CCC employees.”

The Onboarding Program is part of CCC’s strategic initiative to support employees working around the globe throughout their experience with the company. This important initiative includes an annual Demo Days program, a Summer Sessions skillbuilding curriculum, and access to a comprehensive learning portal with more than 100 courses, videos and learning materials.

More than 90 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Comments from judges on CCC’s onboarding program success included:

• “CCC has come a long way in its new hire orientation program…to a comprehensive, well-thought out program.”
• “Seemingly simple strategy but I suspect not commonplace in the industry and will likely lead to happier employees in the long run.”
• “Your change in the entire Employee Onboarding experience is very positive and something to be proud of.”

“In the fifth edition of the Stevie Awards for Great Employers, the judges were impressed by the Stevie winners who – during the crises we’ve confronted this year – continue to dedicate each day to making the lives of their employees and teams better through training, software, work-from-home plans, and more. We are pleased to celebrate them in 2020 and look forward to what they will accomplish in 2021,” said Maggie Gallagher, President, Stevie Awards.

The Stevie Awards for Great Employers recognize the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers who help to create and drive great places to work. The winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on November 5.
