Collaboration with Bogota-based Organization Part of New OnCopyright Global Education Portal

Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organization creating global licensing and content solutions that make copyright work for everyone, announced an international copyright education partnership as part of its new OnCopyright global education portal with the Centro Regional para el Fomento del Libro en América Latina y el Caribe (CERLALC).  CERLALC, an intergovernmental organization based in Bogota, Colombia, promotes reading, publishing and copyright in the Latin America region.

The first phase of the partnership includes a collaborative series of podcast interviews that cover the copyright landscape in Latin American countries, providing an overview of its main features and current challenges.  Podcasts include “An Introduction to CERLALC’s Mission in Latin America,” “An Overview of Copyright in Latin America,” and “Publishing in Latin America Today.”  Future collaborations will include webinars and copyright certificate courses.

“Publishing is a thriving business in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and other parts of Latin America, and copyright is no doubt one of its pillars,” said Victoriano Colodrón, Senior Director, Global Relations, CCC.  “Along with CERLALC, we recognize the increasing demand for education on these topics.”

CCC’s educational services have been lauded as among the best in the industry.  With seminars, webinars, regional workshops and more, CCC advocates the responsible use of content while providing the expertise and the rights to make it simple to do so.
