Inconsistent institutional names, local variants, and manual reconciliation are common sources of error and delay across the submission, peer review, and production processes. Kriyadocs aimed to provide a publishing workflow ecosystem that solved these workflow challenges publishers frequently face.
To deliver on that promise, Kriyadocs needed to incorporate a set of trusted organization persistent identifiers (PIDs) and related metadata to support interoperability across the entire publishing lifecycle.Â
Kriyadocs chose to collaborate with CCC Ringgold, the leading organization PID solution trusted by 80 publishers, service providers, and funders for more than 20 years. Ringgold contains over 770,000 organization records, each with a unique Ringgold ID, rich hierarchies, and over 30 descriptive metadata elements.Â
Within the Kriyadocs ecosystem, the integration of Ringgold identifiers has contributed to improved institutional metadata consistency and more reliable downstream workflows for publishers.Â
