Copyright Risk in Financial Services and the Rise of Responsible AI

This week, CCC’s Lauren Tulloch joined Matthew DeMello, host of the AI and Business podcast, to discuss how AI adoption in financial services is reshaping copyright risk.

Tulloch noted that exposure can happen both in AI development, when firms fine-tune models with licensed data, and in daily use, as employees rely on generative tools to summarize or analyze information. Many licensing agreements, she warned, don’t cover AI use. Her advice? Treat copyright as a foundational element of responsible AI.
