Addressing Research Integrity with Ringgold

In collaboration with Morressier GmbH, CCC is developing a beta version of its Ringgold researcher identification and validation service to help scholarly publishers and their service providers more accurately and systematically identify and disambiguate researchers, their organization affiliations, and research-related connections.

Designed to complement existing researcher persistent identifier (PID) solutions, the service leverages a broad spectrum of data sources and provides a globally unique persistent identifier for each researcher. Supplied with information about a researcher, the service matches that information to researcher records with a confidence score and provides robust metadata including collaborators, publications, affiliations, and fields of study for each researcher record. The service can be integrated into a wide variety of workflows within the publishing ecosystem.
