Winner to Receive $1,500 Travel Grant to Attend an Industry Research Conference

Danvers, Mass. – Pubget, a Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC) company and the leading search engine for life science papers announces the launch of its Influential Paper Challenge.

The contest, which will run until June 25, 2013, encourages members of the research community to use Pubget’s search engine to select the research paper they believe to be most influential. The one entrant who selects the most influential paper will win a $1,500 conference travel scholarship to the research conference of his or her choice. Pubget will determine influence by selecting the paper most frequently accessed on pubget.com.

Pubget offers the most robust and popular life science research search engine on the market with 6.1 million search queries per day. Between January 2012 and April 2013, over 1.4 million scholarly papers were added to pubget.com.

“We are excited to announce the launch of our new Influential Paper Challenge for research students and professionals,” said Emily Sheahan, General Manager, Pubget.  “The program is an opportunity to reward one of our avid users with access to insights that can be obtained only by attending a leading research conference.”

Entrants must be a full-time employee, graduate student or post-graduate student at a non-profit university, hospital or research center. If more than one entrant submits the name of the most accessed paper, the user who takes the additional step of Tweeting the link to the submission to @pubget, with the hashtag #InfluentialPaper, will be selected as the winner.
