Copibec now offers award-winning Get It Now
Montreal, March 9 2015 – Copibec is proud to announce it has expanded its partnership with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organization, to offer Quebec’s Cegeps and universities CCC’s award-winning Get It Now article delivery service.
Get It Now is a cost-effective solution that gives Cegeps and universities library patrons and staff instant access to valuable journal content from leading publishers directly on library websites. It increases operational efficiencies, streamlines article ordering and invoicing processes, and includes a comprehensive Librarian Dashboard to manage and track Get It Now article purchases and create real-time usage reports.
Get It Now has been adopted in the U.S. by nearly 300 institutions of higher education and provides access to millions of journal articles across disciplines from over 130 leading publishers from around the world.

The Société québécoise de gestion collective des droits de reproduction, commonly referred to as Copibec, is a not-for-profit collective that was founded in 1997 by Quebec authors and book publishers in the Union des écrivaines et écrivains québécois (UNEQ) and the Association nationale des éditeurs de livres (ANEL). Since then, Copibec’s membership has expanded to include various other organizations representing visual artists and newspaper and periodical authors and publishers.
