Kim Zwollo

General Manager

Kim Zwollo is General Manager, responsible for establishing and leading the RightsDirect organization, building key relationships globally, and driving the overall growth of international corporate license sales. Prior to joining RightsDirect Kim worked for Springer Science and Business Media in various international roles. Most recently he was Executive Vice President Sales for the EMEA region, which included responsibility for Third Party Licensing and Rights and Permissions. Kim has also served in sales and management roles for media companies including DMD Secure (digital rights management), Elsevier Science and others. Kim holds a master's degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. In his role as General Manager of RightsDirect, Kim is also a member of the management team of Copyright Clearance Center.

Toshiyuki Tomii

Managing Director, RightsDirect Japan (日本語で表示。)

Toshiyuki Tomii is Managing Director of RightsDirect Japan, and manages CCC’s relationship with Japan Academic Association for Copyright (JAC) and other local reproduction rights organizations, and develops solutions to meet market needs. Most recently, Toshiyuki served as Managing Director, IP Solutions at Thomson Reuters Professional KK, where he was responsible for the Intellectual Property Solutions business in Japan including patents, trademarks, brand management and IP asset management solutions. He brings over eighteen years of experience as a sales executive as well as general manager at both established firms, such as Digital Equipment Corporation and SGI, as well as entrepreneurial companies like Gems TV and CinemaNow Japan. Toshiyuki is based in Tokyo.


Kate Alzapiedi

Business Development Director

Kate Alzapiedi is RightsDirect's Business Development Director, responsible for copyright licensing solutions across Europe. She has an extensive background in STM publishing, having worked in business development and management roles for more than 15 years at Elsevier Publishing and Excerpta Medica Medical Communications. Kate graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a master's degree in communication and is a Board Member of the LWH Foundation for pancreatic cancer. Kate is based in Amsterdam.

Joerg Weizendoerfer

Business Development Director

Joerg Weizendoerfer is RightsDirect's Business Development Director with responsibility for copyright licensing solutions for corporations headquartered in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and building key relationships in these countries. Joerg joins the RightsDirect team from LexisNexis where he worked 9 years and most recently led the corporate sales team for Germany and Austria. He has extensive experience with consultation-intensive services and products and a track record of developing and establishing business in new markets. Joerg has also served other companies in sales and marketing roles, among them 3Points Software, an ERP software company that provides solutions for the European media industry to handle complex tasks such as license rights management, finance and program scheduling. Joerg holds a master's degree in both Communication Sciences from Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU), Munich and Business Administration from Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie (VWA), Munich. Joerg is based in Munich.


Inez van Leuzen

Account Manager

Inez van Leuzen is Account Manager for RightsDirect and focuses on building awareness for copyright licensing solutions in Europe and managing license renewals with European customers. Having worked in account management and account development roles for nearly fifteen years, she has extensive experience in consultative selling, promotion, and training of scientific information solutions. Before joining RightsDirect, Inez has spent almost 15 years working at Elsevier in an account management and sales capacity, and has built close relationships with corporate information and research departments across all industry sectors. Inez holds a master’s degree in arts and museology from University of Amsterdam. Inez is based in Amsterdam.
