Copyright Clearance Center Announces OnCopyright Education Certificate Program
Designed to Guide Knowledge Workers Through the Complex World of Copyright
Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organization and leading provider of licensing solutions, announces its OnCopyright Education Certificate Program, comprised of industry-specific courses that target a variety of user communities and the challenges they face in managing copyright.
“We designed the program for knowledge workers responsible for managing compliance and ethics, obtaining permissions, organizing various license agreements or dealing with content,” said Diane Pierson, Vice President, Marketing, Copyright Clearance Center. “Our goal is to help guide participants through the complex world of copyright.”
“The CCC OnCopyright Certificate Program for librarians and specialists allowed me to spend dedicated time with an expert learning the ins and outs of copyright and how they would apply to the environments that I work in,” said Christy Confetti Higgins, Member, Special Libraries Association. “The sessions, assignments, and ability to ask those uncertain copyright questions to an expert were all extremely valuable as I’m more confident in my understanding of copyright today.”
The program is comprised of a series of instructor-led eLearning courses incorporating group discussions, question and answer sessions and analyses of real-world scenarios, including group and individual activities. Participants will learn the principles of copyright, how to evaluate potential exceptions and limitations to copyright protection, determine when copyright permission may be needed and content sharing and its implications. Cost for each session varies.
CCC’s education services have been lauded as among the best in the industry. With seminars, webinars, regional workshops and more, CCC advocates for the responsible use of content while providing the expertise to make it simple to do so.
