2011 MarCom Competition

International Organization Recognizes Rights Licensing Experts for Copyright Videos

Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organization and leading provider of licensing solutions, was the recipient of two Platinum MarCom Awards for its Copyright Basics “Action Trailer” and “Copyright on Campus” videos.

The videos are part of CCC’s OnCopyright Education program, designed to help knowledge workers gain a deeper understanding of how copyright affects them. In 2011, CCC unveiled a host of new educational resources, from videos to the new “Copyright in 10” webcasts, which give visitors 10-minute tutorials on important copyright topics. CCC’s team works with thought leaders, government agencies and policymakers to advocate the responsible use of content, offering a variety of options via instructor-led programs that incorporate group discussions, Q&A sessions and analysis of real-world scenarios.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. In 2011, over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries came in from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. The Platinum Award was presented to those entries judged to be the most outstanding, recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness. Fewer than 20% of entries received a Platinum Award. Winners ranged in size from individual communicators to media
conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies and were selected in over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts. A complete list of Platinum winners can be found at
