Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC)
ACC Offers its Members a Simple Solution to Manage Copyright Compliance
Danvers, Mass. – Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organization and leading provider of licensing solutions, is partnering with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the world’s largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
Recognizing copyright compliance and risk management as important issues, ACC is offering its members with a simple, easy-to-use copyright solution – CCC’s Annual Copyright License – which makes it easy for employees to share content internally throughout the organization while respecting the rights of content creators.
“In the daily rush to get things done, even well-intentioned employees may unknowingly share copyrighted material without permission,” said Miles McNamee, Vice President of Licensing and Business Development, Copyright Clearance Center. “With the high volume of content being shared throughout the enterprise, it’s important to mitigate the risk associated with copyright compliance.”
“Businesses thrive on the exchange of information, from research and industry news to workforce trends and legislative reform,” said Veta T. Richardson, ACC President and CEO. “Through its Annual Copyright License, CCC has made it easier for ACC members to lawfully share content.”
