CCC's RightSphere® named 'Trend-Setting Product' by KMWorld Magazine for Second Year Running

DANVERS, Mass., September 23, 2008—Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), the world's largest provider of copyright licensing solutions, today announced that RightSphere® has been named a "Trend-Setting Product of the Year" by KMWorld magazine. This marks the second year in a row that CCC's rights advisory and management service has received this honor.

RightSphere is a web-based application that brings dramatic productivity improvements to the management and use of rights and content. It enables companies to carry out their intellectual property policies with greater efficiency and generate maximum value from their subscriptions, licenses and other content investments. The award, announced in the September issue of KMWorld, recognizes innovative products that have had the most impact on the knowledge management industry over the past year.

Since its introduction in 2006, RightSphere has been adopted by a growing list of leading corporations. Recent additions include General Mills, the world's sixth largest food company; Texas Health Resources, a 13-hospital health care provider serving more than 6.3 million people; and Cargill, an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services.

"This year's edition has been compiled through briefings with vendors themselves, along with conversations with analysts, users and system integrators," said Hugh McKellar, KMWorld editor-in-chief. "Our mission selecting this year's products has been deceptively simple: select those that deliver robust customer value."

"We are very pleased that KMWorld has again recognized RightSphere," said Bill Burger, CCC's Vice President of Marketing. "The product continues to win plaudits from industry experts as it gains acceptance by leading global corporations across a range of industries."

RightSphere Simplifies Rights Asset Management
Information professionals use RightSphere to consolidate and manage all of their companies' rights assets within a single, powerful system. RightSphere then makes that information easily accessible to employees, providing instant answers to their content usage questions.

RightSphere makes managing rights and answering rights questions a fast, easy and paperless process. RightSphere can also help users meet crucial deadlines by freeing up time that otherwise would be spent researching rights and enabling users to share content more quickly and efficiently.
