RightSphere from Copyright Clearance Center Selected as a Codie Award Finalist

DANVERS, Mass., Jan. 17, 2007—Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), the world's largest copyright licensing solutions provider, today announced that RightSphere, CCC's rights advisory and management service, has been selected as a finalist in the Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) 2007 Codie Awards. RightSphere is a finalist in the category of Best Solution Integrating Content into Workflow.

"The 2007 Codie Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage of the contest," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a Codie Finalist a real achievement. All the companies on this year's list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."

The Codie Awards program, begun in 1986, showcases the digital content and software industry's most innovative products. Award finalists were selected by representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, analysts, consultants and subject-matter experts. CCC was among more than 600 participating companies, and RightSphere was selected from more than 1,200 nominated products and services.

RightSphere is a revolutionary Web-based rights advisory and management service that helps corporations promote collaboration and the free flow of published information while also respecting copyright. The first-of-its-kind service debuted in June 2006 and is a major advance for companies that place high value on knowledge sharing and innovation. RightSphere provides a customized, comprehensive view of all rights assets held by a business and delivers instant answers to each employee's desktop for the common question: "What am I allowed to do with this content?"

"RightSphere is a fast, easy-to-use tool that bridges the content sharing-copyright support gap within digital content workflows," said Tracey Armstrong, COO of CCC. "RightSphere tells employees how they're allowed to share content and eliminates a lot of the hassles companies experience today in getting to that knowledge. We are proud RightSphere is a finalist for such a prestigious industry award."

Codie Awards winners will be announced on April 17, 2007.
