Getting Started:
- Review the terms and conditions of your license.
- Familiarize yourself with the process of verifying coverage under the license using the license's title search page.
- Develop a process for instances when a title is not covered under the license. CCC is constantly adding new publishers and new works to the academic license repertory. However, there will be times that a title will not be covered under the license. In order to meet content users needs, we suggest you develop an alternative process for them to obtain permission. Determine if you want them to obtain permissions on their own, using CCC's pay-per-use services, or if they should route all requests through a central location such as the library.
- Notify CCC if there are publishers you would like added to the program. We will work with our Publisher Relations team to recruit these publishers to participate in the Annual Copyright License Program.
Develop a rollout plan for educating potential users across your institution about the license and its use, and determine a target date to initiate this plan.
